About Us
The inception of Max Flow Systems began with a series of discussions with fire departments across the country about the need for mobile pump testing services. At that time, I was providing pump ops training with a mobile simulator that could easily be transformed into a mobile pump testing unit with only a few modifications. In 2007, my company, Lonestar Fire Specialities, became the first trailered mobile pump testing company in Texas and grew to service more than 450 trucks annually.
Over the years, the experience gained from running thousands of pump tests prompted me to design a system that focuses on speed, accuracy, simplicity, and redundancy. In 2012, I designed and built the Ultimate Draft System while also starting the process to patent the technology that makes this product unique. This incredible machine has tested over 2,800 pumps and flowed 154 million gallons of water without one mechanical hiccup. The Ultimate Draft System is unlike any other pump testing machine on the market today.
The primary advantages that we have over our competitors include reducing pump test time to 80 minutes per truck, detecting issues with exceptional accuracy, providing a computer generated report immediately, testing that requires only one operator, the ability to create an infinite amount of workload on the pump thus, replicating old-school testing from a below ground pit and creating the same pump test conditions year after year.
Over my tenure in this field, I have silenced many critics and gained the support of those who did not believe a ‘true’ pump test could be accomplished from a trailered system. How long will my system take to build?
For a trailered system you can expect the build to take 90-120 days, a skid system with a recovery tank will take 60-90 days, and a skid system without tank will take 45-75 days.
